yap, you can use it as a Huaweii Modem, or as a wifi hotspot..

The DNS settings are changed on the domain registration interface (or
settings panel). You don't need to be hosted for this, but of course the
domain needs to be registered.

Settings->Wireless & networks->tethering & portable hotspot

If you're using a recent linux kernel or windows vista/7, you could
use tethering.... though the portable hotspot would be the most
convinient...

also, you could use it just like any other huawei modem, with the
setup files for the modem client located in on of the storage devices
u see when u plug the phone to the comp...
