Hello Robert, You may expect us to reply to you with possible solutions to a problem that you've not described clearly. Assuming Windows XP SP3 environment, if you rightclick on "my computer", choose "manage", expand "Local Users and Groups" (there must be some run cmd equiv of this but that's for Windows gurus) and highlight Users, do you find your account missing? If that is the case, I'd backup my data to a safe destination, scan that for viruses, format the PC and reinstall, then restore my data.
