A direct disk copy (.iso) should keep the DVD contents intact (in its original format). For a filesystem, its largely dependent on what you want to use as your OS (win, nix, mac) as some OSes wont necessarily read some filesystems. Take the following situation:
1. You have 1000 or more movies on DVD 2. For safety (scratches, loss, etc) you decide to copy them to a drive large enough to hold them (Terrabytes)
A DVD will, in it's original media) give you so many options when you play it. You can choose scenes, etc.
Is there a way to achieve the same functionality suppose I transferred all my DVDs to a TB drive?

How (in what format) should I transfer the DVDs to the TB drive?
