I have started saving for a TV, to replace my Cathode Ray Tube, but I simply cannot decide on what I want, except that 32&quot; is just enough for my viewing:-)<div>37&quot; would be the extreme I can go sincerely, not above!</div>

I have spoken to an electronics engineer friend of mine and he tells me that between Plasma, LCD and LED, he&#39;ll go for LED any time.</div><div>My worry is something I&#39;ve just seen while checking out LG website - that the lifespan of an LED TV is 30,000hrs. That is like 3 years, right? (When it&#39;s running 24hrs non-stop which is not quite practical).</div>

<div>In my hse, there are some pests who can easily run a TV for 17hrs per day so this worries me, unless I misread/miscalculated something.</div><div>I was looking at <a href="http://www.lg.com/uk/common/compare/products-compare-result.jsp?CatID=8115&amp;BURL=/uk/tv-audio-video/televisions/index.jsp">these</a> and comparing, but I am still lost. What is OLED, for those in the know?</div>
