I have started saving for a TV, to replace my Cathode Ray Tube, but I simply cannot decide on what I want, except that 32" is just enough for my viewing:-)
37" would be the extreme I can go sincerely, not above!
Now that is all I seem to know. I have spoken to an electronics engineer friend of mine and he tells me that between Plasma, LCD and LED, he'll go for LED any time.
My worry is something I've just seen while checking out LG website - that the lifespan of an LED TV is 30,000hrs. That is like 3 years, right? (When it's running 24hrs non-stop which is not quite practical).
In my hse, there are some pests who can easily run a TV for 17hrs per day so this worries me, unless I misread/miscalculated something.
I was looking at these and comparing, but I am still lost. What is OLED, for those in the know?

Can someoen please offer me free advise on what I should go for, and why?
