On windows, you shouldnt bridge both NICs. you should insead configure ICS [internet connection sharing] on the modem's connection: -in network connections, right-click on the modem's conmection icon, and got to properties -on the "properties" dialog that pops up, click on the "advanced" tab -... check the check-box for "allow other network users to...". if you have more than one LAN card, select the one through which to share net... usually, windows will set up a dhcp server to gove off IPs therough the secind lan card. by default, it also sets that lan card to 192.168.0.1. if u have dhcp issues, set up IPs manually, using 192.168.0.1 as the gateway address. for DNS, use the same ip, or use the cmd command "ipconfig /all" to get details of the dns servers ur modem is using itself, and set them up on your other comps. If you have an android phone it's pretty easy. In the market place install an App Call aNetShare (http://android.a0soft.com/?url=aNetShare.htm). It'll convert your fone into a WIFI AP and share the connection to the internet.
It also comes with a built in DHCP Server and you can allow or disallow network devices to connect. Only caveat, watch your bill soar!
Works like magic.

Have tried to run this setup once before. If I recall well, with 2 PCs, the machine with the modem (PC1) has two active NICs, one physical (connected to PC2) and a virtual one (modem). Configure the physical NIC on PC1 as a bridge.
Assign static IPs to both workstations; remember that in this setup, you have no DHCP server. Then set the IP of PC1 as the gateway of PC2.
However, note that this won't give satisfactory performance as a modem is ideally for use with one PC.
