I've come across this thread rather late in the day... :-)

I drive a Mitsubishi Lancer with a CVT transmission. The recommended ATF for mine is (Diamond Queen) SPIII (you can get the specification for your car by pulling out the pin oil gauge and reading the specification just below the top part).

The local fuel stations try to make you use the general purpose ATFs but my trusty mechanic always tells me to avoid such and go for the original "good stuff". More costly for sure, but worth every penny. And in any case you don't need to change your ATF frequently...
