
LTE is a standard just like UMTS,HSPDA, HSPA. Its is advocated for by the 3GPP organisation. What i'm saying therefore is has a standard for 3G transitional and 4G so depending on what the operator is installing it may be 3.75g or maybe 4G. The same can be said of mobile wimax so depending on what people are installing they might be 4G.
