Hey skunks Stop looking at airtime as a product, or even justify that airtime enables you to buy bundles hence it is cash. In reality, it is a permit to access and consume your operators services e.g. Safaricom and its value is only measurable within the network hence you cannot even trasnfer 100 bob safcom airtime to 100 bob YU airtime or whatsoever. Now to add to the issu of reverting 100 bob airtime is not entirely owned by Safaricom, there is 16% tax, line dealer commision etal so in esence the reversal process would itself complicate things so as to end up with your money wholesum. Example: I buy 1000 worth of airtime from mpesa, I realize I only needed 100. So I convert 900 worth of airtime back to mpesa, but instead of getting KShs. 900, I get a bit less, like KShs. 850.
