BSS CLUSTER LEAD (KISUMU & MERU REGION)
The Cluster Lead is responsible for the Roll out, O & M and Transmission planning for a particular area, and will be responsible for the management of a team.
This includes BTS, BSC, MGW, MW, Lease lines and OFC network, as well as Passive Infrastructure implementation and management.
Other responsibilities will include:

*  Efficiently rolling out the cluster BSS as per the business plan in terms of time, quality and cost .
*  Monitoring and managing the Cluster Network to ensure OPEX limits are managed and benchmarks adhered to
*  Transmission planning for network roll out in the Cluster.
*  CAPEX & OPEX budgeting and ensuring that OPEX saving targets are achieved.
*  To achieve Network Quality KPI’s as per organizational and regulatory benchmarks.
*  Compliance with the relevant Regulatory authorities
*  Technical Manpower planning, recruitment & development.
*  Preventive and curative maintenance.
*  Regular MIS reporting and the maintenance of relevant records
The successful candidate will typically have the following competencies and qualifications:

*  A Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications/ Engineering  with a minimum of 5-8 years experience.
*  Sound knowledge of GSM technology, BSS & Transmission & O&M standards.
*  A working knowledge and proven experience of the implementation of GSM O&M standards, performance benchmarks, ITUT standards & regulatory norms.
*  Previous leadership experience in mentoring and coaching a small team.

CLUSTER ENGINEER (KISUMU & MERU REGION)
The BSS Cluster Engineer is responsible for the Roll-Out, O & M and Transmission planning in a particular area and will be reporting to the Cluster Lead.
Suitable candidates will be supporting a wide range of technology including BSS /NSS Network, BTS, BSC, MW, MGW, Lease lines and the OFC network.
The Engineer will have the following accountabilities:

·        Responsible for surveys & BSS rollout as per business plan to ensure time, quality and cost requirements are met

·        Management of BSS (BSC, BTS, OFC equip & MW) fault rectification operations to ensure availability of all equipment and elements

·        Monitoring all infrastructure to ensure organization benchmarks and OPEX guidelines are adhered to

·        Transmission planning for network roll out for a specific area

·        Achieving Network Quality KPI’s as per organizational and regulatory benchmarks.
The successful candidate will typically have the following competencies and qualifications:

·        A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.

·        3+ years experience in the Telecommunications industry.

·        Sound experience in the rollout and operations of the GSM network.

·        Ability to mentor junior team members.

CLUSTER TECHNICIAN (KISUMU & MERU REGION)
The Cluster Technician will be supporting the Engineering team with the Roll-Out, O & M and Transmission planning in a particular area and will be reporting to the Cluster Lead.
Suitable candidates will be supporting a wide range of technology including BSS /NSS Network, BTS, BSC, MW, MGW, Lease lines and the OFC network.
The Technician will have the following accountabilities:

*  Supporting surveys and the roll-out of the network infrastructure
*  Fault rectification operations to ensure network availability
*  Transmission network roll out.
*  Maintain site uptime, to achieve Network Quality KPI’s as per organizational and regulatory benchmarks.
*  Preventive and curative maintenance of sites.
The successful candidate will typically have the following competencies and qualifications:

·        A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering.

·        1+ years of experience in the Telecommunications industry.

CLUSTER ENGINEER NSS (NAIROBI, MOMBASA, KISUMU & MERU REGION)
The NSS Cluster Engineer will be responsible for the NSS (MGW & MSS Architecture) implementation, its O & M, Regulatory and Quality compliances as per the business requirement and will be reporting to the Cluster Lead.
Key accountabilities are:

·        NSS (MGW & MSS Architecture) implementation as per business plan in terms of time, quality and cost.

·        To achieve NSS Quality KPI’s as per organizational and regulatory benchmarks.

·        Managing the NSS operations for availability of all network functionalities as per benchmarks and OPEX requirements

·        POI commissioning, augmentation- coordination with PSTN and other operators.

·        Regulatory audits and compliances.

·        Coordination with IN, VAS nodes and Roaming coordination.

·        Regular MIS reporting
The successful candidate will typically have the following competencies and qualifications:

·        A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering.

·        3+ years experience in the Telecommunications industry.

·        Having experience of rolling out and operations of NSS, IN & VAS network.

·        Knowledge on GSM technologies in Switching, VAS & IN.
