A Belated HNY-2011... :-) @Collins, any good off-roader will tell you preparation and pre-checks lists before a trip too important to avoid major problems. My personal favourite is Patrol but resale value goes to Toyota. However, also don't forget the Landrover 110 series and if you can get an ex-british army one, you will not go wrong on parts and endurance.
