Now I have a (possibly) crazy requiremement.
I have several IP PBXs which I'd like to monitor, not for uptime, not for anything else, but functionality. You guys know what a PBx is for right?
I am looking for a system that can do this, and I am not looking for a FREE one. I will pay for it.
The system should be able to call certain numbers and be intelligent enough to detect and distinguish between a busy line and NO answer.
If a line is not busy and not answered in 2 rings, I need a notification sent by SMS to 1 or more people.
Nagios has extensive plugins for PBX equipment including Asterisk based ones.
