This is a totally honest question; are there people out there using Ms Access as a database? Is there is a business case for using Ms Access instead of the OSS databases?

By 2008, lecturers in the campus i was were refusing software projects done using Ms Access, requiring the use of MySQL. And that campus was rather backward in terms of technology.

So why would anyone in real life want to use Ms Access?
