Wash,

Already configured and working, I’m using outlook to read the mails or mail headers in horde using IMAP.

All this time, I thought Horde required a POP3/IMAP4 server in the backend. Maybe things changed when I took a nap.
Using "outlook to read the mails or mail headers in horde using IMAP" still confuses me. Just delete the work "horde" and it makes sense.

The question is related to email deletion; I believe it’s a feature in horde. When deleted, the mail header is strikethrough out and will only disappear from outlook when physically deleted from the webmail.

It's a feature of IMAP. Mails are marked for deletion (that strike-through) and only get deleted when you execute the "purge" command!
It's standard to IMAP.

Sorry, what was your question again?:)
