[Skunkworks] Overhead Fibre links AKA ....... JTL and Zuku

Skunks, Whats your take on overhead fibre in Kenya as compared to Underground/terrestrial. My reason for asking is that, its (overhead) passing by my business premises, but the way its laid, I better stick to my Wimax with 99.3% uptime. MAJOR CONCERN BEING: There is oil siphoning from life KPLC transformers, why can't any one cut and pull this fibre cables for over a kilometer stretch at night? AND PLEASE DONT TELL ME THAT THE FIBRE PLUS ALUMINUM PROTECTION HAS NO VALUE.
