As have said earlier, these operators (Airtel, Yu) are a "Happy go lucky lot". They hope to ride on others
and hope business will develop on its own without tangible investment and hard work

The operators should just invest enough capital on their money transfer services.
They should be ready to put billions on rolling out outlets like safaricom did. They should in addition pay dealers
good commission to encourage setting up outlets. They should target to have an outlet for at least two of Safcom.

This way, people will slowly start using the services.
It is all about investing in the oulets.

Me thinks YU,Orange and Airtel should do what the Kenyan opposition
did to defeat Moi in 2002, form a mobile money platform with enough
scale to compete with Mpesa. But I'm pretty sure safcom is already
working on other initiatives to stay ahead. They are more likely to
launch the next Mpesa than any of its competitors are. As it is safcom
is becoming a platform that allows other partners to make money off
it. Much like FB or Google. Sustainability 101....me thinks it will
soon become almost impossible to compete against safcom.

supplier or supplies this kind of machine should please contact me. Most
shops/suppliers in town have their stock held up at the Mombasa Port.

Hi guys, I'm trying to get datepicker to work on JQuery dialog which is
always appearing behind the dialog. I've tried checking around and the
solution given is to set z-index css property for the datepicker element to
a big number.. and some other solutions around that. But none of that has
worked at all! Has someone managed to make this work? Please help.

Anyone on the list knows KQ webmaster, that can sort out the following
issues on their website to make it functional?

  1. Flight search results not displaying. Try http://goo.gl/DVVCJ I test
this 2months ago and the same has never been fixed. Chrome16/Firefox8/IE9
  2. Talk to us/Contact form http://goo.gl/l44cC does not send and has a
"log in" button instead of "send"
  3. The flight timetable http://goo.gl/NSnK4 is giving results that are
  not been requested

The aesthetics are lovely but functionality which is the key to the online
airline industry is lacking big time and I bet KQ is loosing online sales
to competitors like Emirates or Qatar

Sincerely,
*Levis Kimotho*

Hi Levis,
The site has browser compatibility issues. (which is really crappy
when you're trying to do something like online checking from a mobile
device). Like the inline timetable does not display scrollbars etc
using Chrome and Firefox.

IE works OK, I actually made a reservation yesterday and paid online,
but in this day and age such a site should work for all.
