I am Allen Kubai and I am the Technical Director. I would like to tell you about the opportunity we are offering, but first, let me tell you about JJ People . We were formed in 2005 to provide software outsourcing services to companies in the Europe. Our European office is in Canary Wharf, London right in the heart of Europe's Merchant Banking business and our Kenya office is at 150 Ng'ong Road just past Karen Shopping Centre. We believe that in the future, software will be developed quite differently to the way it has been in the past because the rapid Internet is enabling people to work together and distance and location is immaterial, only time-zone matters.
We employ software professionals to work from our office on the Ngong Road for Clients in London and Germany across the Internet and in this we compete directly with European software developers and companies. We provide an Online Training Program to IT related Graduates which focuses on Java J2EE and Agile development and takes 4 to 6 months to complete. As an IT undergraduate/graduate we would like to offer you an opportunity to share in this program, without obligation or cost to yourself.
When you have successfully completed this training we will get you a placement with one of our clients in Europe. You will work from our office here in Nairobi for that company, as an offshore contractor working across the Internet and communicating with your client by your IP phone with a London phone number. The experience you will gain is unrivalled anywhere in Kenya and will start your IT career off very effectively.
We do not pay you while you are on training but once it is complete we will offer you a job with a starting salary equivalent to 40,000/= per month. This will increase to 50,000/= per month after approximately six months and to 70,000/= after a year. You can also expect a 'Loyalty Bonus' payment after three years of service which will pay you a lump-sum payment of 330,000/=. If you leave any time within those three years, you will forfeit your 'Loyalty Bonus'.
We will charge you 110,000/= for the training but you can defer payment of this and repay it out of your salary spread over a year. Naturally, we cannot guarantee that you will successfully pass the training program, that is up to you. If you fail then we will not charge you for the training. Over the past four years and a lot of people, both here and in Europe have successfully completed it and are now hold senior positions in the IT Industry.
