Don't know details of laying pipes ;).. tee hee!! but on a serious note, asked Access KE about the pricing on an estimate for a 1 Meg link the day after KDN posted their 600$ 1Meg link, i got shot down by Access with a shocking 1200$ Estimate. i'm not saying it's going to be silly .. i think we're all doomed with such pricing if this is after the Kable's been laid. I don't know if these stat's are correct but here's also what i got in regards to info about the Kable. Sources remain anonymous. 1) "It should be piping on a minimum, some Terabytes of data connectivity for supply..." 2) Being with the fact that one cable gets put at a time, the Sat Link would remain in place to provide a supplementary backbone incase the cable gets cut. Timeframe to fix the cable is 1 Week. 3) We should see a drop in pricing after one year considering the second cable will then be in place by then thus eradicating the expensive sat link. I havent checked on what the difference on the home links will be with Access, will find out and inform further. Rahim. On May 21, 2009, at 3:52 PM, James Mutuku wrote:
