Hi all, We had a pretty successful and fun event over the weekend at 88Mph's Start-up garage. Sorry, it had to be cut short due to unavoidable circumstances. It only lasted for about twenty six hours instead of the usual fourty plus eight. You can have a peek at our photo stream on Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/97105538@N07/ At some point we had an introduction from SHD Nairobi's main organizer: http://vimeo.com/67867927 The proceedings from the Hackathon can mostly be found from our Twitter feed: https://twitter.com/scihacknairobi You can also search through the hash tag #*ScienceHackDay*<https://twitter.com/search?q=%23ScienceHackDay&src=hash> from the same source. More posts shall be uploaded on our Website in due time [ http://nairobi.sciencehackday.com/ <http://www.sciencehackday.or.ke/> ]. All the projects presented will (should) be highlighted there since we think we saw a much higher quality of work done this time. Un/fortunately, the machine learning group did not win any award(s). Some interesting work was done by them all the same, you can check out our public repo: https://github.com/chiteri/shdnbi2013_machinelearning/ Hope to see everyone in 2014! Martin. Hi,
This coming weekend at the Science Hack Day Nairobi ( http://www.sciencehackday.or.ke/), Prof. Matt Bellis of Sienna College (NY) will be guiding a hacking session to explore fresh new CMS data using Python machine learning. For you data nerds who like physics, you cannot miss this!
