Seen this... You need to run the Migration wizard to FULL COMPLETION, and migrate all the Active Directory server roles, and other roles. Then remove all AD services on the old box, deleate all references in DNS and registry, and force the Exchange 2007 to use the 2008 box as its Global Catalog.. Or call me on 0721-929620. regards, Sam On 5/9/11, Daudi Were <daudi.were@gmail.com> wrote:
Good afternoon Skunks, Some friends are experiencing some issues after migrating from Windows SBS 2003 to Windows SBS 2008. Not being a Windows guys I thought I'd ask here. The exchange Mailboxes were created but the ails did not transfers to the new server. The AD and DNS services apparently are running. PC’s can be joined to the domain on the new server [SBS 2008] and users can also log on. However there seems to be no connection to the Exchange Mailboxes and as a result of having both servers running with active directory, the Windows 2003 server keeps being triggered to shut down by the presence of the SBS 2008 server.
If you have any ideas and any experience in this kind of thing please let me know!
Thanks
