There is an LG LCD (plasma) that has a refresh rate of 600 Hz --- apparently this rate is comfortable to the eyes and enables one to watch for longer (so the saying goes) Has 5 star energy rating - some award Wangari Maathai wud be proud of.. Plus LGs are generally cheaper? You could give this a try.
