@Tony you raise a good point on on content but let me be about open about this issue. The content issue or the lack of participation by many has in the past been a mystery until I researched it more and what I discovered was disappointing.
Unfortunately the problem that affects our country is the same problem that affects this list. Its called "Individualism". There are many ( not all ) who can be very good contributors to this list but unfortunatley their main interest is self promotion through blog sites, twitter etc. They have good access to information, participate in various events or functions taking place but you will never see them posting anything on this list. BUT this is their choice so we can only hope that they will see the community effort and importance in the long term. I see a lot of the data and even events that clearly would have been better done through the skunksworks community.
So some of us do contribute what we can and will be around a long time.
The person who wanted to be unsubscribed should have just be direct and ask, rather than generalizing us as spammers. As far as I know, this list have resolved many technology problems for those who asked and yet no one even asks to be thanked in anyway whatsoever.
Please tell me which tech blog site or twitter site is helping others resolved their technology issues, if not looking for business.
No one should have to unsubscribe, just be open on what you think should be a solution to a problem.
Cheers :-)

I can go on and on but since I know there is an unsubscribe button I think its wise to shutup.
