The first step is to define a vision for the project (goals,product features and all), then volunteers can be sourced according to specialization :- graphic designers, translators, database designers ..etc @Humphrey Coding your own CMS (and any other app from scratch) is not wrong like you put it. You wrongly criticized the efforts of local programmers which goes against what you state you are and our goals for vision 2030 The level of security of CMS is highly dependent on the efforts of the programmer. If you *seriously* take security into consideration during development (Encryption,bugs and all), your product CMS will no doubt be secure.
