Just to add to what aki has mentioned. Lenovo already have the Intel chipsets on their thinkpad edge 13. The laptop has been available since Feb at about 600 dollars. Clearwire and Sprint have already made them available in the US
Hi David, thnks for the info. Would you confirm that the model you quoted above has the Intel Wimax 6250 module?
Since we have your attention, would you be able to update us on these too, in the tech community spirit :
1) Has KDN tested any of the Wimax Laptops/Netbooks with Alvarion/Redline or others? I think Alvarion uses an Intel Chipset....
2) There is another thread on this list about Seacom and Teams prices dropping to 400USD/250USD for duplex 1Mbit respectively. This is a major development. If True, pls provide some details of the new packages.
3) Has KDN taken up Eassy connectivity or is Eassy going to deal direclty with ISPs? During the Seacom launch, they were quoted in the media as saying that their bandwidth lease models would be very different from the rest and cost effective.
Glad to see KDN back on the list and await your reply. Please do keep the channels open.
Rgds.
