Normally apple offers international warranty, so apple dealers in KE should cover that.
Hi Susan,
When you talk about "apple dealers in KE" covering that, do you mean I buy from you and then when I have a problem, I go to Elite, or Mac & More, or Personal Systems?? That sounds like one big joke!
Actually its not a big joke. If you have international warranty all they do is verify from your serial number that the device (laptop, ipad, etc) is covered. The unfortunate part is that they are not able to give you instant replacements. You have to wait like 2 - 4 weeks and have to pay duty on the parts. Whereas if i was anywhere in Europe or US with my international warranty i would get a replacement part for simple stuff like power adapters and battery replacements from the store (immediately) at no extra costs. My experience with Elite was as above so i ended up buying the part since a 2 week wait without a power adapter was not realistic. But thats how it is. They were to apply for a replacement and i would pay the 5K GOK fee - and they never have - thats like 6 months ago. I suppose thats how it is. Regards, Michuki.
