Ok3ch, Its not about missing the point its about a level playing field, i dont think google just woke up and decided to make Kiswahili the default language, it is our second official language as mentioned in an earlier post we take certain small issues for granted that is why for a long time the people in Samburu and Isiolo areas would refer to Nairobi as Kenya,most of us are 8.4.4 alumni yet we are pretending hatujui kiswahili, its just a wrong attitude, this is why we have problems getting local content because if its not English it does not exist.
Again - discussions missing the point! Its not that anyone hates
Kiswahili, very nice language indeed if we could only speak it, but
why make swahili the default language for .co.ke? Even before, it
existed and you had to choose it if you wanted to, but what actually
made them change this? Nothing, completely nothing to do with Swahili
being good or bad, and certainly no one said kisitukuzwe *if there's
sth like that*
