I worked for some time in Uganda some years back where firearms are allowed to citizens and I was especially struck by how safe it was. You could walk around at 2 in the morning in Kampala with your laptop and phone in peace.
Given that the thugs in Kenya have guns anyway, what's the sense in prohibiting the rest of us?
