I like the new gmail app. The only downside is that i cannot empty my spam or recycle bin through a single option. I have to select messages individually and delete them which i find is repetitive since thats how they got into the recycle bin in the first place On 21 Nov 2014 20:30, "Anthony Njogu via skunkworks" < skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> wrote:
I tried the Inbox app for 5 minutes, got entangled in it's confusion, and let's just say i will survive just fine without it. :)
Thanks to the oldskul gmail i was able to send out this email :)

You do not get this, or maybe I am growing old!
For instance, I do a search like this on gmail:
is:unread has:attachment filename:avi
That would list quite some files. I then do 'select all' and then some action like delete, or assign a certain label or archive.
It is this power that I am looking for. In a nutshell, this - https://support.google.com/mail/answer/7190?hl=en
I think I am just addicted to gmail even with the layout of the cotrol buttons at the top:)

But Inbox can automatically categorise email into groups, which you can just delete.

I don't want to create new categories - just select and, say, delete:)

Ha ha, Inbox allows you to select mail of a certain criteria and create a new category and make email always go there.

Dennis,
For instance, I like using a search criteria to list and select multiple, then take a certain action. Please tell Google to add that feature or is it there but just me not seeing it:)
