I am yet to hear of any provider who temporarily locks a handset/modem only for a period of time. If you intend to question the moral stand on that... all the best. If you simply need the phone unlocked, try online fora specialising in that or outfits that charge a fee for that. Better still, go DIY :-) Tony.
