I manage a small network and am using Mdaemon (Fully registered). I have realized that there is alot of spam being send from my network. I am using kaspersky anti virus(Genuine) but it doesn't seem to remove the worms. How do I stop this.
I believe you just clean the infected machine. If you configure logging properly in Mdaemon, it should tell you which machine(s) is/are compromised. You could use another trick, though I am not sure MDaemon has it, but it should: Force SMTP Authentication for all clients connecting to the server, on a port other than the default 25 and lock down port for all clients except peers . Worms wouldn't know to circumvent this, I believe. -- Best regards, Odhiambo WASHINGTON, Nairobi,KE +254733744121/+254722743223 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ "If you have nothing good to say about someone, just shut up!." -- Lucky Dube
