Here it is:
Dear Gichingiri,
Thank you very much for your email requesting information about our product. This is Renee from TP-LINK technical support department.
I’m sorry that your 3G modem card is not in your region’s compatibility list, which means it has NOT been tested by our technician, so we are not sure whether your 3G modem card can work with our 3G Router or not. Now we can only try our best to help you check this out.
Firstly please check some basic settings on the router and make sure you’ve configured them right. See below:
1. Upgrade Router’s firmware to the newest one on our official website. Then reset it.
Please refer to the link to download the latest firmware.

Please refer to the link to upgrade it.

2. Choose “3G only” as Internet Access.
3. On “3G” Page, choose your region and your ISP, then double check if the default parameters (such as APN and dial No. etc.) are correct. Contact your ISP for this information if necessary. To manually type in, please choose “Set the Dial Number and APN manually”.
4. Plug in your 3G modem card, restart the router. Wait for a minute or two. See if it can work normally and get on the Internet.
If you need any further help, please feel free to let me know.

The router does not recognise the above modem. The modem model is not listed on your website. Please assist |
Is the modem being detected on your PC? Does it work from the PC? Modems do fry up, as I realized first hand recently when my 9,999 modem gave up service!
Try that and if the modem still works, then investigate other options from TP-Link website.
