You can't ssh from cmd? Jeez, I've been away from windows that long? I use iTerm2 for Mac although the native Mac terminal is also very good. The shell I use is zsh but mostly just for kicks - there's no amazing advantage over bash. If I didn't have a Mac I would run Ubuntu 13.04 desktop and if necessary, run Windows 8 inside of VirtualBox. For terminal stuff I wouldn't even go into the Window VM - that would just be for using Microsoft Office and things like that (again, only if necessary). --- Kili.io - OpenStack for Africa: https://angel.co/kili-io Musings: https://twitter.com/varud About Adam: https://www.linkedin.com/in/adamcnelson On Wed, Jul 3, 2013 at 4:20 PM, Bwana Lawi <mail2lawi@gmail.com> wrote: @Adam, et al, do you have a good terminal emulator for linux? I had to revert to Zoc <http://www.emtec.com/zoc/> (my favourite) and the likes of teraterm, of course via Wine to get my work done. I am yet to find a good native linux client. Key features: - Key Bindings (backspace, function keys, etc) - Session specific customisations Unfortunately this MobaXterm has refused to run via wine On Wed, Jul 3, 2013 at 3:53 PM, Brian Ngure <brian@pixie.co.ke> wrote: @Adam LOL On Wed, Jul 3, 2013 at 3:48 PM, Adam Nelson <adam@varud.com> wrote: But then you have to install Windows :-( --- Kili.io - OpenStack for Africa: https://angel.co/kili-io Musings: https://twitter.com/varud About Adam: https://www.linkedin.com/in/adamcnelson On Wed, Jul 3, 2013 at 3:42 PM, Odhiambo Washington <odhiambo@gmail.com> wrote: For those who love terminals like I do, I find this one great! http://mobaxterm.mobatek.net/download.html I am sure you'll love it.
