What normally is the role if any of KICTBoard / Directorate of E-government given we are talking of govt parastatals here? Do they play any oversight / Quality assurance roles or its every gover dept to roll out their joomla sites and other ICT infrastructures as they please? I am with Wash on this one. a mere DB connection issue is an issue especially for a site like the IEBC. if this were election time i can see/imagine a politician claiming sabotage, that could lead to nasty incidents. it would put a whole process in jeopardy.
We need to be clear. This is our money used to fund a very important public function. It goes beyond the technology and we have to be very vigilant.
