So assuming I go the insurance route, which garage does quality work at an affordable price (otherwise the insurance company will complain)?

+1.
Just the windscreen will set you back at least 16-24k. If you have
comprehensive insurance, use it and have your wing + door replaced as
well, rather than repaired.

You lose out on the no-claim discount on your renewal but your car
ends up as good as accident-free.
