The tech is definitely interesting but everyone who has underestimated Safari-com has lived to regret it. I do not see why Safaicom will also not start issuing NFC enabled SIM cards.
In my opinion going head to head with Safaricom will be disastrous. Lots of money will be wasted. Go for the guys neglected by Safaricom. Online, small transfers, etc. I would focus on mobile money and nothing else. Neglect voice, data etc.
