Profits really are the bottom line. Wallmart, as of 2010 fiscal, had revenues of over 400B. Apple 68B. Same market valuation at the time. HP still has higher revenue than Apple. The real test for Safaricom will not be maintaining revenue growth but profitability. That's what shot it into the limelight. Funny fact, the company with the highest revenues in Kenya as of end of 2010, is KenolKobil, not Safaricom. We know about Safaricom because of profitability. -- Regards, Phares Kaboro Kariuki -----Original Message----- From: Kevin Omondi <kevin.ouma@gmail.com> Sender: skunkworks-bounces@lists.my.co.ke Date: Wed, 9 Nov 2011 18:10:50 To: skunkworks<skunkworks@my.co.ke> Reply-To: Skunkworks Mailing List <skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> Subject: Re: [Skunkworks] Safaricom's half-year net profit down 47pc _______________________________________________ Skunkworks mailing list Skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke ------------ List info, subscribe/unsubscribe http://orion.my.co.ke/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/skunkworks ------------ Skunkworks Rules http://my.co.ke/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=94 ------------ Other services @ http://my.co.ke
