@Adam, You are right. I have heard some of the rich people on this planet (seriously) complain that you spend a good chunk of your time looking for money. When you finally find it in substantial amounts you quickly discover that you do not have to use it any more. People want you just to be seen eating out at their restaurants, others want you to sleep in their hotels, car / computer companies just want you to try out their prototypes and concept cars / machines / designer clothes, banks -- just open an account with your names with them, barber shops / salons ... hospitals pray you get sick ... Churches .... Problems want you to get them (think of famous sportsmen and their knee / ankle injuries), etc. Isn't it all too baffling? :-) Martin. I'm 100% in favor of the VAT and the thing I find best is that para-statals and government departments have to pay the VAT now (as I understand it). I just wish the UN and Diplomatic posts had to pay the VAT - the richest people in the country live largely tax free :-(
