I have been trying to configure a Huawei modem (Safaricom Bambanet modem) so as to use it with gammu. This is the response I get: $ gammu --version [Gammu version 1.20.0 built 02:08:29 on Oct 8 2008 using GCC 4.3] This is free software. You may redistribute copies of it under the terms of the GNU General Public License <http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html>. There is NO WARRANTY, to the extent permitted by law. $ gammu 1 --identify *Can not access SIM card.* $ Anyone who knows a work-around?
