I have always though that talk about 4G/LTE is essentially blowing hot air. Whats the uptake of 3G? Given that it still below < 10%, why invest more money in 4G whilst not every area has 3G coverage? Wouldn't it make sense if say, demand for 3G far outstripped supply to warrant investment into 4G/LTE. Me thinks it beats all logic. From what Ndemo was saying, it likely appears either the Government will put up infrastructure, or that the the infrastructure will be put up by a consortium inclusive of the government. However, the end product is that the frequency will be available to be used by all. Ideally, I THINK that one transmitter will be set up to serve one area and then leased out to several operators to provide the service on several channels. As Ndemo clarified the backbone will be NOFBI, it seems then that the government will be involved in the set up. _______________________________________________ Skunkworks mailing list Skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke http://lists.my.co.ke/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/skunkworks ------------ Skunkworks Rules http://my.co.ke/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=94 ------------ Other services @ http://my.co.ke
