Martin, unlocking introduces a code, not a software. The modem is programmed to work in a certain network if a certain value in its memory reads something and another is blank, and work in all networks if the second value reads &#39;X&#39; which is the unlock code. So ama not sure where software gets in and how the limitations are applied. Please try unlocking one rather than &#39;hearing things&#39;
