There are very many versions of DV4s, you have to be more specific. BUT Before you decide to buy another Mobo, be advised that *YOUR CURRENT BOARD MAY BE FIXABLE.* I once came across a DV5 AMD that had "overheated", its vents having repeatedly been covered by a blanket in bed while watching movies. When powered on, it's various blink codes<http://h10010.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&docname=c01732674&product=1132551#N161>indicated: *"**Graphics controller not functional"* mara *"CPU** not functional"* The fix was to Hot-Air reflow the GPU, North-Bridge and replace dried up thermal grease and voila!!!! Ikafufuka.
