Hello skunks. <br><br>Allow me to rant about email blacklists, and particularly the Uceprotect Network; <a href="http://www.uceprotect.net/en">http://www.uceprotect.net/en</a><br><br>Last week, I had a spamming incidence and was listed in 3 lists. After correcting the problem, two of the lists de-listed me after 1-2 days.<br>
On the other hand, Uceprotect level one want me to wait 7 days or pay $109 to get my IP de-listed. Seems to me like a heavy price to pay for a spamming fault.<br><br>Luckily, very few servers in the world use this list to actually block mail so my users will have to contend without being able to send mail to some domains for a few more days because I&#39;m not ready to part with around KES 10,000 to get de-listed.<br>
<br>And this Uceprotect; how do they appoint themselves as email police and then ask for money on the same? I think they are in cahoots with the service providers that use them.<br>They should devise other methods of income apart from arm-twisting server owners. <br>
That&#39;s what proper blacklists like <b>Spamhaus </b>do despite the fact that they have stringent rules about the frequency and/or recurrence of Spamming from the same hosts.<br>
