Cellulant is looking for a highly motivated Software/Systems Integration and Implementation Engineer to work on enhancing projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent systems integration skills, an understanding of software development approaches and languages, and a willingness to work with the customer to convey key system benefits. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: You will join a strong team of engineers who support mobile content based softwares, running on open source operating, each designed to make a vast array of data available to instituions and firms reaching to their clientelle via the mobile phone. The capabilities also provide powerful data mining, analytic, and geospatial tools to the analyst increasing the accuracy and timeliness of product preparation and presentation. Although the work is geographically diverse you would primarily support the Kenya location and if required other Countries. MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Required Skills: • A current and active exprience in software development in an open source environment • Software Integration experience; • Installation and maintenance experience with a variety of software • Integration experience with a variety of operating systems (Windows, Linux, VMware) • Experience with data integration and relational databases • Understanding of information security Education: • Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science preferred. Additional relevant experience maybe considered in lieu of degree. Advance degree and certifications desirable. ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Additional Requirements: • Working knowledge of software development environments and methodologies; • Working knowledge of Java, JavaScript, PHP, XML, shell scripting, and other scripting languages; • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
