That is the most non tech statement to put across. We need to put into consideration a number of factors before we come up with such a conclusion. If it were possible to prove that the complexity of any algorithm used to process an given piece HTML5 information is higher than that required to process a piece of flash information, providing the exact similar information, then that would be a totally and unambiguously true statement.
But with the current statement, its similar to stating that all numbers are prime simply because you took 3 and proofed that 3 is prime. That totally unacceptable.
Taking into consideration the fact that HTML5 is a new technology and might have not undergone some rigorous testing and optimisations for various platforms, mobile platform included, then this statement is totally invalid.
Unless there is some more proofing information they had left out.
