As I always say a seamless ecosystem is what Microsoft needs. Not rocket science. Let manufacturers build phones that run your software the way windows is installed on all manner of tin cans. Create ubiquity of windows and make it the default in mobile the way it is on PC. Supplant Blackberry in the corporate world and the revenue will work for you.
Hmm, interesting. How is this different than what they have been doing the last three years? Just that nobody seem interested with their ecosystem. If their is any chance of windows phone ever working, Microsoft has to do all the lifting. That mean hardware and software. And that also will not work unless they fix the price problem. In another work, they can't retain the market and their current profit, they need to choose one over the other. I said that when Windows 8 came out and kind of went as I predicted. Lets check back in another year and see.
Let Apple be the pretty ecosystem but if you want to get work done best option is windows Phone + tablet + PC.
