I still admire SONY for 3 actually 4 things;

PIP - One touch button on remote, sound/channel swapping easy on PIP/PAP
Sound has no equal - better and deeper in all variance
Brilliant pictures and rich in color, Samsung doesn't look all that great. My Bravia LCD sony is richer in LED samsung, unless my eyes are biased.
Idle timeout/standby - TV will shut down automatically if remote isn't touched in say 1,2,3,6 hrs etc depending on when you timeout yourself and how costly power is in your house :)
