Looks like MeeGo is targeting the high-end market for smartphones Minimum requirments; - 512MB RAM - 600MHz + Arm V7 or x86 processors Unfortunately nothing to compete with the Android OS available on the Huawei Uxxxx IDEOS popular in the Kenyan market whose framework APIs are not cross platform friendly (you have to rewrite your apps to support any other platform) for developers, something that MeeGo handles well with QT.
