Thanks Phares.Of particular interest would be to have a monitoring system ie nagios for event based policies for auto scaling.Is this possible, is there an API for this?

We have that option, but it depends on exactly how you want the autoscaling to work. We run cloudstack at Angani, which has this enabled https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/CLOUDSTACK/Autoscaling
