
@laban :-) Her best hope to progress was govt and her talent was a huge asset to development of such technologies. Why would any govt not have a facility for such bright minds? Somehow NASA comes to mind. - Funds continued use of the International Space Station to support the agency and other federal, commercial, and academic research and technology testing needs. - Funds aeronautics research to address aviation safety, air traffic control, noise and emissions reduction, and fuel efficiency. Strong possibilty that private sector may not have RnD depts nor budgets unless project is of sound financial prospects. Usually private sector knows one thing : build it and we will see how it works. ( eg missile technology companies... ) At the same time, govts passing the buck over to someone to fix what they should be doing in the first place is also what all the issues are about. So NASA in kenya would be run by what private sector Limited Company? ;-)
