I think the most important factor is the tv signal strength and the type of aerial you have. I could 'lend' you my PCI-E card you try it out before you buy yours. I have never used those USB tv boxes before so i really dont know how good they are.

In your initial response, one would have thought that you "ditched" the PCI-E TV Card because it did not meet your expectations. Were you pleased with the FM portion of it though?
