I do not support the failure of another person to raise the red flag to amount to double standards. My belief here is that whether Safcom was down or not, the way we tend to criticize them is not in equal standards as when another telco has issues. Probably, we should go back to Kiania's statement and read between the lines - he probably was informing us of the downtime he experienced since 10 yesterday morning. If I had noticed that, I would have raised it too. As I said in response to Kiania, I used my phone the whole of yesterday for browsing without any hitches, yet I was on Zain.
The issue of double standards, comes in when we don't want to point fingers where it deserves. Safaricom has been in the news for wrong information, and the amount of criticism they get is too much. Does it make them the most prone to criticism? No. It is a way of making them learn from a mistake and improve.
Skunkworks are not obligated to report on any downturn experienced on any telco.
